It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Desley Dawn Stock, who left this world on October 30, 2024, at the age of 88. Desley was born on June 25, 1936, in Ayr, Queensland, to her loving parents, Benjamin and Daisy Neuendorf (née Hauschildt). Her life spanned a remarkable journey filled with love, resilience, and cherished memories. Desley's early life in Ayr shaped her into the compassionate and strong-willed woman she became. She was known for her vibrant spirit and unwavering determination, qualities that would guide her throughout her life. In Brisbane, Queensland, Desley married her beloved husband, Gunter Gerhardt Stock, with whom she shared a deep bond of love and partnership. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home. As a self-employed individual, Desley dedicated herself to her work and community, embodying the values of hard work and integrity. Though she did not seek accolades or public recognition, her contributions were felt deeply by those around her. Desley was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Benjamin and Daisy, and her devoted husband, Gunter. Their memories will forever remain a part of her legacy, as she often spoke of the love and guidance they provided throughout her life. She is survived by her beloved son, Peter, and his family, who have been her pride and joy. Desley’s love for her family knew no bounds, and her nurturing spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Desley's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She embraced every moment with gratitude and joy, and her laughter and kindness touched the lives of many. As we remember Desley, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with affection, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. A celebration of Desley’s life will be held in Redcliffe, Queensland, where friends and family are invited to gather and share their fondest memories. In honoring her legacy, we encourage all who knew her to carry forward her spirit of kindness, love, and community. Following the funeral service, Desley will be privately cremated. Desley Dawn Stock will be dearly missed but fondly remembered. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and the memories of a life beautifully lived.
