Loretta May Ljubijankic, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on January 25, 2025, at the age of 76, in Murgon, Queensland. Born on February 3, 1948, in Wondai, Queensland, she was the cherished daughter of Herbert and Dulcie Hopf. Loretta's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to her family. Loretta was preceded in death by her loving parents and her beloved son, Shane. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ibrahim Ljubijankic, with whom she married at the age of 24 in Goomeri, Queensland. Their partnership was filled with love and devotion, a bond that weathered the test of time and adversity. Loretta is also survived by her three daughters, Katrena, Emma, Rebekah. Her grandchildren Kendra, Chloe, Breana, Ella, Jesse, Axel and Theo who were the pride and joy of her life. She dedicated herself to nurturing and supporting her daughters, instilling in them the values of kindness, perseverance, love and compassion. Her love for her family was boundless, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. It is clear that Loretta's impact on those around her was profound. She was known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and her ability to listen without judgment. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, love, and cooking often feeding those who dropped in after a night at our local pub. Memories filled with laughter and stories. Loretta's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her unwavering spirit, and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a unique way of making everyone feel special, and her kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. As we remember Loretta, we celebrate not only her life but also the legacy of love she leaves behind. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her husband, daughters, grandchildren and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a shining light in their lives, and her spirit will continue to guide them in the years to come. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
