Peter was the treasured son of Robert and Joyce Hinkley, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and integrity. These values would shape his life and guide his many endeavors. As a young man, he embraced the beauty and demands of rural life, carving out a career as a farmer. However, Peter was a true jack-of-all-trades, never afraid to try his hand at something new, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. In the heart of Calamvale, Queensland, Peter found the love of his life, Kaye. They were married when Peter was 44, marking the beginning of a beautiful partnership. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Peter's warm spirit and generous nature touched everyone he met. His laughter was infectious, and his stories, often told with a twinkle in his eye, could light up any room. Whether working the land or sharing a quiet moment with friends, Peter lived his life with passion and purpose. Peter is survived by his beloved wife, Kaye, who was his steadfast companion and greatest supporter. Her unwavering love and devotion were the cornerstone of Peter's life, and together, they exemplified a partnership filled with mutual respect and deep affection. A funeral service to honor Peter's life will be held at the Killick Family Funerals Chapel on November 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM. All who knew and loved Peter are invited to attend and celebrate the remarkable life he led. Peter's family ask those that are attending to wear country colors.
