Passed away in the Ipswich Hospital.

Dearly loved father, father-in-law and grandfather to Gary, Shauna, Estelle, Raymond, Lyn and their families.

The flag at the Bundamba Memorial flew at half mast in a fitting honour to Mr Pennell as he read the ode there for the last 40 years.

Mr Pennell’s funeral will be held on Monday, 1 August 2022 at the Salvation Army Church at 8 Bundamba Road in Bundamba.

The service is at 10am with a wake to follow at Club Services Ipswich (Legends Bar).

Dress code is a suit with medals.

The Ipswich RSL Sub Branch will hold a poppy service during the Service.
