It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Leonard Francis Trunks, who peacefully departed this life on January 2, 2025, in Wondai, Queensland, at the age of 86. Leonard was born on May 10, 1938, in the charming town of Toowoomba, Queensland, to loving parents Walter and May Trunks

Leonard was a proud father, cherished by his sons, David and Stephen, and his daughter Merideth. He found immense pride in their accomplishments and delighted in the joy they brought into his life. Leonard’s family was his greatest treasure, and he devoted his life to nurturing and supporting them, instilling in them the values of kindness, resilience, and integrity.

Though Leonard’s professional journey is not noted in detail, those who knew him remembered his strong work ethic and the quiet, steadfast presence he offered throughout his life. He was a man of character, possessing a gentle spirit that touched the hearts of many.

In his leisure time, Leonard enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, finding solace in the beauty of nature, the joy of family gatherings, and the warmth of friendships that spanned decades.
