Obituary For Norman Leslie Morrow
Norman Leslie Morrow
February 25, 1944 — October 25, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norman Leslie Morrow, a beloved father, husband, and cherished member of the Ipswich community. Norman, affectionately known as Norm, was born on February 25, 1944, in Ipswich, Queensland, where he spent his entire life, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him. He passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at the age of 80.
Norman was the son of Donald and Enid Morrow (nee Hallett) and was preceded in death by both parents, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and community service. These values shaped the man he became and guided him throughout his life.
On April 24, 1965, Norm married the love of his life, Heather Reid, affectionately known as Blondie. Their love story spanned nearly six decades, a testament to their devotion and partnership. Together, they raised their two beloved children, Stevan and Leisa, who were the pride and joy of Norman's life. He is survived by them and their respective families, who carry forward his legacy of love, strength, and compassion.
Norm was not just a father and husband; he was a pillar of the Ipswich community. Throughout his life, he demonstrated unwavering dedication and support for numerous local organizations, tirelessly working to uplift and enrich the lives of those around him. His commitment to community service was evident in everything he did, from volunteering at local events to supporting initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for his neighbours.
Although specifics of his education and employment history are not detailed here, it is clear that Norm's contributions transcended professional achievements. He was a man deeply connected to the roots of Ipswich, always seeking to make a positive impact, no matter how big or small.
Norman's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the lessons he imparted, and the love he shared. He embodied the spirit of community, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
As we say goodbye to Norman Leslie Morrow, we invite all who knew him to celebrate his life and the love he gave so freely. His spirit will remain in the hearts of those he loved, guiding us all to continue his mission of kindness and generosity.
Rest in peace, Norm. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Norm, you were truly one of a kind. First day becoming your neighbour in Bass St, you invited us to a party, having literally just unpacked, we thanked you but took a rain check... 30 mins later you arrived back with your tractor and trailer carrying a large table and benches filled with Bass St neighbours, you brought the party to us. We had a wonderful friendship, you supported me with my horses and encouraging your daughter into a different equestrian world than you were used to, we butted heads on several occasions. You were one of the strongest and yet soft men I've met, you've certainly left a mighty imprint on this earth.... its you time to rest now 🤍

So long, Norm. We've missed seeing you at Woolies. I've really missed bossing you around, and forcing you to let me do the heavy lifting. I know how much it amused you. As sad as this last year has been for you, I'll never forget how much love you had for your precious lady. Thank you for sharing that with me. Such a character, Norm. You are definitely missed. I wish your family all the best. He loved you guys and appreciated your help, so much, when he would allow it. Such a character. Bye Norm, I'm putting the store rollerdoor down for you one last time. Please don't hit anything on the way out. Especially, the Woolies truck. We need our deliveries. Much Love, Janina (Your favourite Woolies Girl) xxx

Thank you for all you did for me and for teaching me about cows. When I first met you, you called me a "Townie". I enjoyed our cow feeding every afternoon where we would have a chat about general things. Your love of family, cows, tractors and all things country will never be forgotten. A true gentleman who would do anything for anyone. You will never be fogotten. May you forever RIP. Love Angie XOXO
