Obituary For Stephen Robert Dwyer
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Robert Dwyer, a beloved partner, father, and friend, who departed this life on May 3, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on June 24, 1961, in Goulburn, New South Wales to Pamela and Harold (dec) Dwyer, he is the younger brother of Darrell and Denise (dec).Steve was a devoted person whose impact on the lives of those around him will be cherished forever.
Steves journey in life was marked by love and dedication. At the age of 36, he entered into a long-term relationship with Yarnika, the love of his life. Their partnership was a testament to deep affection and mutual respect, a bond that only grew stronger over the years. Stephen and Yarnika built a beautiful life together, filled with laughter, support, and an unshakeable connection.
Stephen was a proud father to his two wonderful children, Jackson and Maddison. He embraced parenthood with a loving heart, always encouraging his children to pursue their dreams and to be kind to others. His legacy will undoubtedly live on through them, as they carry forward the values he instilled in them: compassion, integrity, and a healthy dose of humor.
A dedicated member of his community, Stephen served in the corrections field, where he worked tirelessly to help others and contribute positively to society. His commitment to service exemplified his character—a loving and kind individual who often enjoyed sharing a sarcastic joke to lighten the mood.
Stephen is survived by his cherished partner Yarnika, his beloved children Jackson and Maddison, as well as his extended family, all of whom will miss him dearly. Although he faced life with grace and humor, Stephen was a man who knew the importance of connection and the power of love.
As we remember Stephen, we honor the man he was—caring, generous, full of life, and someone who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His laughter and kindness will echo in the hearts of all who knew him.
Steve will be profoundly missed but forever remembered. May he rest in peace, knowing he was deeply loved and admired. Those who knew and loved Steve are warmly invited to join with his family at a funeral service to honour Steves life.
A livestream will be available by clicking the “Watch Funeral here” button below. There will be a small pause in the livestream as we make our way to the cemetery but it will resume once we get to the graveside.

Stevie (Old Bastard) I just wanted to take a moment to say something that's been in my heart for a long time. Thank you, brother. Years ago, when I was in a dark place, you showed up — not with all the answers, but with something even more powerful: presence, understanding, and real love. You pulled me back when I couldn't see the way forward, and because of you, I'm still here. No words will ever fully capture how much that means to me, but I hope you know you changed — and maybe even saved — my life. That kind of act doesn't fade with time. It lives on. You're not just a mate, you're my brother. Zac (Chubby Bastard)

Oh Yarn, I'm so so sorry to hear about Stevie 💔 I wish I could take the pain for you all 😞. There are no words to describe how deeply saddened I was to hear this or to help with the grief that you all must be feeling but I wanted to share a little poem that was sent to me when my dad passed. I wish there was more I could do but I hope it helps in some small way. xx All my love Mellie xx The beauty of our memories is that they are always there, like a penny in your pocket, it can be taken anywhere. I know your hearts are heavy, your eyes are filled with tears, try to focus on the memories, that take you through the years. Let your heart revisit the happiest of times, when laughter filled the air, Steve's presence will be with you to help lessen the despair. And as you travel on through life, take comfort as you go, in a lifetime of 'sweet memories' of the one who loved you so ❤️ All my love darling xxx thinking of you all, sending my biggest hugs and deepest condolences xxx

In Loving Memory of Steve Sadness stretches across the globe from all the hearts Steve has touched. With his fun-loving, easygoing personality, it is almost impossible to believe he is no longer with us. His warmth, kindness, and laughter left an imprint on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may no longer be seen or heard, I believe he walks beside his family always—unseen, but never absent. A quiet, guiding presence. A guardian angel. To his beloved partner, Yarnika, Steve will forever live on in the smiles and laughter of their children—an enduring gift and reflection of his beautiful spirit. My sincerest condolences to all of Steve's family and friends. May his memory be a blessing. He will remain in our hearts, always. RIP Rupert and Kim Phillips
